Ken Pettigrew

Ken brings a unique and highly valuable dual perspective to the structural design team, blending rigorous academic excellence with extensive on-site experience. He initially graduated from the University of Canterbury in 1990 with a Bachelor of Engineering with First Class Honours in Mechanical Engineering. From 2006, Ken immersed himself in the construction industry, working directly as both a site and project manager—a role that provided him with deep, practical insights into how engineering designs translate to the real world.

Bridging the gap between theory and construction reality, Ken later specialized in structural engineering, earning the University of Auckland’s top prize for steel design in 2011. Today, he works closely alongside Karen, providing vital technical expertise and comprehensive design support across the firm's diverse portfolio.
